1. Acceptance
By using CISScore (cisscore.com.au), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. What CISScore is
CISScore is a self-assessment tool that helps businesses evaluate their cybersecurity posture against the CIS Controls v8.1 Implementation Group 1 framework. It is an educational tool, not a formal audit, certification, or security guarantee.
CISScore is not affiliated with the Center for Internet Security®. CIS Controls® is a registered trademark of CIS.
3. Not a substitute for professional advice
CISScore provides general information and custom policy templates. It does not constitute professional legal, security, or compliance advice. For formal compliance requirements, engage a qualified cybersecurity professional.
4. Generated policies
Generated policy documents are custom templates. They are provided for informational and implementation purposes. You are responsible for reviewing and adapting them to your specific circumstances before formal adoption. CISScore does not warrant that policies meet any specific legal or regulatory requirements.
5. Your responsibilities
- Answer assessment questions honestly to receive meaningful results
- Review and adapt generated policies before implementation
- Do not use the service for any unlawful purpose
- Do not attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the service
6. Results and our security partner
To see your results you provide your name, business name and email address and agree to your results, answers and contact details being shared with our security partner Cyber83 Australia, who may contact you about improving your score. This sharing is a condition of using the free assessment. You can opt out of contact at any time by replying "unsubscribe" to any email or emailing support@cisscore.com.au, and we will ask Cyber83 to delete its copy. Details are in our Privacy Policy. You can opt out of contact at any time.
7. Payments and refunds
- IG1 policy bundle is a one-time payment of $99 AUD
- All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST
- Refunds available within 7 days if policies have not been generated
- Payments processed securely by Stripe
8. Intellectual property
Generated policy documents are yours to use in your business. CISScore retains rights to the assessment framework, scoring methodology, and platform.
9. Limitation of liability
CISScore is provided "as is". We are not liable for any security incidents, breaches, or losses arising from your use of or reliance on this tool. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to any claim.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
